We are pleased to announce the launch of prints995, an online photography gallery and retail site launched by gallery nine5, the contemporary art gallery based in the flourishing art scene of Downtown Manhattan, just steps from the Bowery and the New Museum.

prints995 is designed to offer a new population of art buyers a series of collectible limited editions prints at a moderate price point. It also creates a practical opportunity for collectors to purchase an entire suite of related images.

Fourteen artists have been hand-selected by the gallery to create original works of art in limited signed editions. These prints will be the works of fine artists: Gerald Dearing, Jose Soto, Kiki Allgeier, Klara Landrat, Michael Koehler, Mike Mabes, Mike Ruiz, Ramon Estevanell, Ramon Singley, Sam Falls, Stephane c, Valerie Dray, Veronica Krestchmerand, and Victoria Dearing. The inaugural 2009 editions include a wonderful mix of artist styles and visions.

prints995 is committed to supporting causes that help make the world a better place. With so many amazing charity organizations around the world, we’ve selected a global cause doing great work and serving one of the most basic human needs – clean water. Prints 995 will donate a portion of the sale of each print to Charity: Water, an organization building wells and sanitation systems all over the world.

Prints 995 will be launched in with a special event held at gallery nine5 on Thursday, May 7, 2009.
